Requirements for Virginia (VA) Applicants:
- Background Check
- CPR and First Aid Training: Your certifications should be current and valid.
Home Health Aide Certification or CNA / GNA - Registration: You must be registered with the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Eligibility: Applicants should be 18 years or older, have authorization to work in the USA, and undergo a health screening.
- Additional Qualification: If you possess a CMT certification along with the above, you might qualify for roles that involve medication administration beyond just reminders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for clients by taking care of household chores.
- Keep accurate records of client care and report any significant observations.
- Engage with clients, providing companionship and mental stimulation.
- Administer medications and immunizations as prescribed.
- Encourage and assist clients in physical exercises and activities.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Individuals who have graduated from an accredited Home Health Aid program.
- CNA / GNA
- Those with a High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of professional experience in the field.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Prior experience in Home Health or Hospice care will be considered an added advantage.
